Squeezing The Muscle!!

It is very important to squeeze your muscles at the end of the contraction. As you can see in the picture the end of the contraction during a bicep curl is at the top. At the end of the contraction, hold for about a second and squeeze the muscle and release and return to the beginning. This is very important and you should always do, if you don't do it your form is not correct. You will get much better gains by adding this into your workouts.

Working out? Leave me some comments and questions.

Don't be afraid to let me know what you think. Leave some comments and questions.

REST????

Let me explain this simply to everyone, rest is by far one of the most important things someone who has committed to this life style can do. Your body needs to rest completely, at least 2 times a week. Every so often you should take a week off, I do this approximately every three months. Some people fall into the common miss believe that working out more is better. If you can work out more just do it always hit the gym and it must get you results quicker, WRONG! It can have a seriously negative effect on the results you see from your hard work like over training. Your body needs time to rest and repair and grow. You will see much better results resting more and letting your body recuperate then going to the gym every day and working even different muscle groups. Your body needs total rest every few days. I do 2 a week, for begginers you mite want to even do 3 a week. Remember rest is your friend, I know when you start going to the gym and you love it you just want to go everyday and kill your muscle. You have to remember that not going to the gym those few days helps your body, and gets you those results you want.

Do You Believe in Negatives??

The answer to that question should be yes, and if you don't know what that is you should. Negatives means the negative contraction of the muscle. Basically in a nut shell what this means is when your doing a work out and the muscle is tired after you get it up come down really really slow. So for example on a chest workout on my last set to really kill the muscle, after Ive done however many reps I can do I will have someone help me get it up and then I will be fighting the weight to bring it down super slow. This kills all!!!! When the positive force is done there are still negatives left in the muscle that I like to break down. That is the simplest way I can explain it and I hope you understand and can implement it into your workout.

Did you just start working out?

This is advice for those people who are currently in the gym but don't really know what they are doing. I see people in the gym all the time not actually focusing on the workout but just wasting time. First thing first get the FORM correct. Form is the most important part of any exercise and will ensure that you are hitting the targeted muscles you are trying to hit. Without proper form you could be using a variety of muscles that are taking away from your gains in the gym. Check your ego at the door, I can not stress this enough. It is not about the weight you lift it is about the form and control that will break the muscle down. Secondly break time in between your sets is also crucial to your success and should not be more then 1 to 1.5 mins long. There are great videos online for almost any exercise you may want to attempt in the gym that can show you proper form.
Remember perfect form will make you get stronger faster and help you build muscle quicker

Working Out Life Style!

First things first, I want to make things clear I am not a professional nor am i trying to tell you what you should do or not to do I am simply trying to give you my personal experience. I have been in the Gym for years and and have encountered many problems and have conquered them. I figured out how by staying consistent in the gym and doing my research and using blogs like this one. One thing everyone who decided to start working out should have clear is this is not a month project. Working out is something that takes years to achieve great results and does not happen over night. You would not expect to step on to a basketball court and be great your first time shooting a ball, so why would you expect great results over night. I see a lot of people asking, what am I doing wrong, or why have I not changed. Everyone is different and things that work for 1 person may not work for another person. The first thing you must learn is what works and does not work for your specific body. Different exercises and nutrition work differently, some people can use no protien supplementation and get great results while some people have to use protien supplementation. In my first year I would ask people in shape how they did it or what they do and then try the same thing. Sometimes it would work sometimes it wouldn't and I would ask myself if he does it why does it not work for me. Remember being consistent is one of the most important things to do, have your workout plan and stick with it. Even missing one day is a problem. Obviously some day you have to but don't make it a habit, if you commit to 3 days a week do 3 days a week. So whats your plan if your not getting any results, well first take a week off. Rest is very important and if you don't know that continue watching my blogs for workout tips, diet tips and my personal experiences that may help you. Let your body rest, while your resting come up with a new game plan. Change up your workout routine and after a week get back in the gym and implement it.

Stay tuned to my blog for more updates. I promise follow me here and I will change you.
